JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is opening in Jefferson County to provide face-to-face assistance to those suffering damages from the severe storms, flooding and tornado during the period of Sept. 11-24:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency announced the following location and hours:
Rock Community Fire Protection District Building

Arnold, MO 63010

Open Dec. 10-12 (three days only)

Opening day, Dec. 10 will be open from noon to 7 p.m.
Dec. 11 and 12 will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Visitors may register with FEMA prior to or during their visiting to the DRC. Homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private nonprofits may now register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or

TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- or hearing-impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until further notice. They may register online anytime at www.fema.gov.
