FEMA Helps Families Prepare For Disaster

Kansas City, Mo. -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will provide a booth for the Child Safety Summit in Omaha on Sunday, August 25.

Stressing family preparedness, the FEMA booth will have information to help families prepare a disaster plan and supply kit. There will also be handouts about helping children cope with disaster and coloring books that reinforce the message of preparedness.

The Child Safety Summit, being sponsored by Congressman Lee Terry, is free and open to the public. It runs from 1 to 4 p.m. August 25 at the Holiday Inn Central, 72nd and Grover Streets in Omaha.
