SALT LAKE CITY, Utah -- State and federal disaster recovery officials are alerting Utah residents affected by the August 11 tornado that the Utah edition of "Recovery" is now available as an important resource.
"Recovery" is a newsletter produced by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with input from state, local, and federal agencies and volunteer organizations. It provides information for disaster victims about disaster assistance programs, the response and recovery process, and mitigation and preparedness activities.
Copies, which are available at the Disaster Recovery Center located in the Episcopal Jubilee Center at 309 East 100 South, are also being distributed to numerous government, civic, business, and community agencies and organizations throughout Salt Lake County.
Anyone with disaster-related losses is encouraged to call 1-800-462-9029 to register for assistance.
