Answers are the reasonable efforts of USGS employees, retirees, and contractors, and are not guaranteed to be correct or complete.

Answers are not official policy of the USGS or the United States Government.

Answers are not reviewed for correctness or consistency with USGS or US Government policy.

Do not send questions requiring official answers from the USGS or the US Government to Ask-A-Geologist.
