Worker Education and Training Program
Fall 2003 Awardee Meeting and Technical Workshop
On December 3rd through the 5th, 2003, the National Institute of
Environmental Health Sciences' Worker Education and Training Program
(WETP) hosted a gathering in their offices in Research Triangle
Park of training professionals from around the country who receive
funding from WETP to deliver hazardous waste worker and emergency
response training to target populations. Trainers and business
officials who train minority workers to enter the environmental
cleanup field, particularly for the cleanup of Brownfields
(environmentally-contaminated properties in urban settings) also participated.
This gathering began with an awardee business meeting on December 3rd and two
days of technical presentations and workshops on the 4th and 5th.
This site contains the agenda and full proceedings from the meetings,
as well as notes and PowerPoint files from the individual presentations
and workshops.
