UITP World Congress, June 7-11, 2009 in Vienna, Austria

UITP

The UITP World Congress and Mobility and City Transport Exhibition is the most influential international business forum in the public transportation sector, attracting the world’s city planners, urban and regional passenger transport operators and authorities, system integrators, service companies, as well as the industry’s leading manufacturers and technology providers. The 57th Congress, held in Helsinki, Finland, attracted over 2,000 delegates, 2,900 business to business visitors, and 277 exhibiting companies. We are expecting more than 6,000 participants in Vienna.

This event provides American companies involved in public transport systems and equipment with an  excellent opportunity to reach public transport partners and decision-makers from across Europe, and especially from Eastern Europe where very large infrastructure projects are planned in these sectors.

In order to ensure that U.S. companies get the very most out of this event, the Federal Transit Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service are offering a business program exclusively for American exhibitors. We will:

  • Promote participating U.S. companies to industry contacts throughout Central and South Central Europe;
  • Support U.S. company staff before and during the congress, including assistance with exhibit space, communications with the show organizers, and language assistance;
  • Conduct an exclusive half-day seminar informing American companies about upcoming public transportation projects in Central and South Central Europe, along with tips on how to do business in the various countries;
  • Hold a networking dinner exclusively for U.S. business and potential clients, customers, and business partners.
