Cool, Wet Weather On Tap Through Thursday Night

Cool, wet weather will prevail across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska through Thursday night.  The cool and wet weather is courtesy of an unusually strong upper trough, or storm system, moving east across the Rockies.

The primary threat will be locally heavy rain from the slow moving showers and thunderstorms.

For tonight, you can expect widespread showers and thunderstorms, some producing heavy rain and small hail.  Low temperatures will be in the upper 30s to lower 50s.

Thursday will be quite cool for June 5th, and will be a pleasant day for cool weather outdoor enthusiasts.  High temperatures will be in the 50s, below the normal high temperatures in the 60s and 70s.  Widespread showers and some thunderstorms will occur.  Breezy north winds will prevail.

Rain will end from west to east Thursday night.  Low temperatures will range from the mid 30s to upper 40s.

Dry and warmer weather will prevail Friday and the weekend.
