Nov 25: Laramie, Wyoming recorded it greatest daily snowfall amount for November
on this day in 1983 when 9.3 inches fell on the city. It was the beginning of 5
days with snow that would total 21 inches from the 25th through the 29th.
Nov 26: A winter storm system began to move across the region on this day in 1983.
It produced heavy snow over much of far southeast Wyoming and the southern
Nebraska panhandle before ending on November 27th. Total snowfall from
the storm included 17. 3 inches in Cheyenne, 16. 4 inches in Laramie, around
9 inches in Scottsbluff and Kimball, and 7 inches in Alliance.
High winds swept across the area on this day in 1977, with a peak gust of 76
mph recorded in Cheyenne.
An extremely cold airmass covered the area on this day in 1896. Kimball
recorded their coldest November temperature on record with a low of 18
degrees below zero.
Nov 27: Bitterly cold arctic air covered the region on this day in 1919. Cheyenne
recorded a high for that day of 4 degrees below zero, which still remains the
earliest day of the season that the temperature remained below zero in
Cheyenne.
The 1896 arctic air outbreak continued to keep the region extremely cold on
this day. Scottsbluff equaled their lowest November temperature on record
with a low of 21 degrees below zero.
Nov 28: A winter storm brought heavy snows to parts of the area on this day in 2004.
Cheyenne was covered with 9.7 inches of snow while 8.6 inches of snow fell
in Scottsbluff. 10 inches of snow also fell around Bridgeport, Nebraska.
Nov 29: The 2004 winter storm brought near record cold temperatures to the region on
this day. Some lows included -8 at Scottsbluff, -3 at Cheyenne, -9 at Rawlins,
and -12 at both Laramie and Shirley basin, WY.
Nov 30: On this dayin 1939no precipitation fell in Scottsbluff. The same was true for
the rest of November. That put November 1939 in the record books as the driest
month on record for Scottsbluff with absolutely no precipitation recorded, not
even a trace. It is the only month on record in Scottsbluff with no precipitation
officially recorded.
