The WLCI is an interagency working group of partners who are collaborating on a long-term, science-based effort to enhance wildlife habitats at a landscape scale in Southwest Wyoming, while facilitating responsible development. They are in the process of establishing a larger coalition of government and non-government organizations. When the WLCI Executive Committee meets July 9 in Rock Springs, Wyo., they will update the WLCI charter Memorandum of Understanding to include the group’s newest members, the Southwest Wyoming Conservation Districts and Southwest Wyoming County Commissioners. They will also discuss the MOU with the Wyoming Heritage Trust and hear updates on various WLCI projects and activities. The Executive Committee comprises representatives from the USGS (including FORT), U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, BLM, Wyoming Game & Fish Dept., Wyoming Dept. of Agriculture, and county commissioners and conservation districts.
