EXTEMIN 2009, the most comprehensive mining-related
exhibition in Latin America, is an international tradeshow
organized in Peru for the Mining Industry that will bring the

With a share of 4.8% of GDP, the mining industry continues to
lead Peruvian economic growth. The sector exported US$ 18.7
billion in 2008 representing 59.2% of total Peruvian
exports. Main products include copper, gold, zinc, lead,
molybdenum, tin, silver, and iron. The Ministry of Energy
and Mines projects US$ 22 billion investments in mining for 2009
– 2015.
The U.S is ranked first among mining equipment suppliers with a
28% market share of Peruvian imports. Best prospects
include: off-highway dumpers GVW over 20 tons, shovel loaders,
ventilation systems, underground winding gear, lifting, loading
and unloading machinery (conveyors, excavators, etc), underground
cars, bulldozers, and parts, among many others.
