EXTEMIN 2009, the most comprehensive mining-related exhibition in Latin America, is an international tradeshow organized in Peru for the Mining Industry that will bring the main suppliers of goods and services from all over the world.

With a share of 4.8% of GDP, the mining industry continues to lead Peruvian economic growth.  The sector exported US$ 18.7 billion in 2008 representing 59.2% of total Peruvian exports.  Main products include copper, gold, zinc, lead, molybdenum, tin, silver, and iron.  The Ministry of Energy and Mines projects US$ 22 billion investments in mining for 2009 – 2015.

The U.S is ranked first among mining equipment suppliers with a 28% market share of Peruvian imports.  Best prospects include: off-highway dumpers GVW over 20 tons, shovel loaders, ventilation systems, underground winding gear, lifting, loading and unloading machinery (conveyors, excavators, etc), underground cars, bulldozers, and parts, among many others.
