Ways to Give

Giving opportunities at Whitehead Institute are intended to match donors’ interests with their capacity to support the organization:

Whitehead Circle is the Institute’s donor recognition society for annual giving. Annual gifts provide unrestricted funds for the most novel and creative research endeavors in our labs.

Major gifts are more substantial contributions dedicated for a specific research effort or investigator and are often paid over several years.

Memorial gifts are made to honor an individual associated with Whitehead or a loved one who shared Whitehead's passion for expanding scientific knowledge. These gifts support basic research at the Institute.

Planned gifts include bequests, charitable trusts and charitable gift annuities. Donors who name Whitehead as a beneficiary of such gifts are recognized as members of the Jack Whitehead Society.

Matching gifts are an easy way to double the impact of your gift to Whitehead Institute. Many businesses and corporations sponsor programs that will match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Your company's personnel or human resources department can provide more information on matching gifts.
