Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM)

The U.S. Census Bureau's Manufacturing and Construction Division periodically reviews the survey forms and instruction manuals for the Annual Survey of Manufactures (ASM) to ensure that the data collected continue to meet the needs of businesses, trade associations, and Government agencies.

ASM survey revisions are normally made at 3-year intervals. The forms and instructions are shown below as Portable Document Files (PDF).

To view the content of the survey form click on the ASM form MA-10000- L or ASM Form MA-10000-S link in the title column.

To view the instructions click on the ASM General Instructions link in the title column. (Note: The final 2006 instructions are used as a draft for survey year 2008).

To submit your comments electronically, click on the Comments next to the form title.
