Syndicated Content and Social Bookmarking
The APS publishes syndicated content in several formats, including RSS, iCalendar, and Podcasts.
RSS 
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is the most common type of feed available on the web. Using an RSS feed aggregator, you can subscribe to your favorite web content and organize the articles for easier reading and notification of updates.
Some popular feed aggregators include Google Reader, NetNewsWire for Mac OS, and FeedDemon for Windows. Recent versions of most web browsers also include basic RSS feed reading functionality.

iCalendar
iCalendar is a standard file format for calendar data exchange. Subscribe to an iCalendar file using calendar software (such as Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal, or Mozilla Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on), and events will automatically appear in your calendar. The APS publishes upcoming events in iCalendar format. This calendar includes workshops, seminars and conferences at the APS, and is also available on the web at APS Today.
Podcasts
The APS occasionally releases presentations and features in audio or video format. You can play these items on your portable media device using Apple iTunes or any podcast-enabled media application. This content is also available for streaming on the APS Podcasts web site.
Social Bookmarking
Many articles on the APS web site provide links for you to quickly share content with others, using a social bookmarking service such as Delicious, Digg, Ma.gnolia, Newsvine, or Technorati. If you see a set of icons like this:
click the appropriate icon for your service of choice, then login or create an account. Your bookmark will be saved to your account, and available to others who subscribe to that service (if you choose to share.)
