NMFS Opens Pollock in the West Yakutat Districtin the GOA The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is opening directed fishing for pollock in the West Yakutat District (Statistical Area 640, between 140 degrees and 147 degrees W. longitudes) of the Gulf of Alaska effective 1200 hrs, Alaska local time (A.l.t.), April 1, 2000, according to Steven Pennoyer, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS. |
