NMFS Issues Prohibited Donation Permits to SeaShare The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) announces the renewal of permits to SeaShare that authorize the distribution of Pacific salmon and Pacific halibut to economically disadvantaged individuals under the prohibited species donation (PSD) program, according to Susan Salveson, Acting-Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS. SeaShare has been issued PSD permits under 50 CFR 679.26 to distribute Pacific salmon and Pacific halibut incidentally caught in the Alaska groundfish trawl fisheries. These PSD permits are effective through August 15, 2008.
