Medium-sized light to dark green treefrog reaching 2.5 inches in snout-vent length. Well-defined white or yellow stripe extends from upper lip to groin. Golden flecks generally occur scattered irregularly on the dorsum. Light stripe on the posterior edge of foot and lower hind limb. Individuals appear gray in coloration when cool or shaded. Preys upon arthropods. Call is heard early April to early September. Females lay 350 to 500 eggs in undefined masses that float on the surface of the water. Masses contain 5 to 40 eggs and are affixed to floating vegetation. Species occurs Statewide in freshwater habitat.
