Accident Information File

07/27/2003
A 22-year-old Chester County, Pa., man failed to surface after leaping into water from about 120 feet high. Dozens of police, firefighters, divers and paramedics searched in vain for a man who dove into Dyers Quarry at French Creek State Park and disappeared. In August 2000, divers and police found the body of a 24-year-old victim at the same quarry after he plunged 200 feet to his death. That fatality was ruled a suicide. (Source: Reading Eagle)
