The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources invites you to the 3rd International Chronic Wasting Disease Symposium to be held in beautiful Park City, Utah on July 22-24, 2009!
“CWD – Advancing the Science and Developing the Tools” will be the theme
for this symposium. As new research continues to broaden our understanding of CWD, wildlife managers have been presented with new and unique challenges that necessitate a fresh look at how CWD should be managed in cervid populations. This symposium will explore issues such as prion research and biology, management and control of CWD in wild and captive cervids, human dimensions of CWD, and CWD surveillance, just to name a few.
In order to provide attendees with the option of attending any and all session presentations, special sessions will not run concurrently. Outside of speaker presentations, attendees can also enjoy a variety of opportunities to socialize with colleagues, including a welcome reception, poster and cocktail session and banquet.

Shuttle Service
There are two shuttle services available for you
from the Salt Lake City airport to the Park City Marriott. Neither shuttle service makes visits to the hotel on an hourly basis so you must book with one of them.

Continuing Education Credit
For those veterinarians seeking to gain continuing education (CE) credits, approximately 20 hours of CE credits will be available courtesy of the American College of Zoological Medicine and the American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians.
