The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announces the release of a Spanish and English version of the videotape "NOAA: Precious Realms of a Unique Planet." The production contains two versions: a 22-minute Spanish version titled "NOAA: Preciosos Dominios de un Planeta Unico," followed by the English version.
The videotape depicts the various services that NOAA provides to the public -- from weather forecasting, to the study of the oceans' influence in weather patterns, to environmental monitoring and prediction. The videotape shows NOAA's workforce in action and invites high-quality recruits to join NOAA's ranks.
The presentation also demonstrates how the business world depends on NOAA's work, including weather forecasting, the production of accurate nautical and aeronautical charts, inspecting and measuring fisheries stocks, and protecting and improving the wetlands.
