Decline in fatal on-the-job highway incidentsThe number of job-related deaths from highway incidents declined in 2000 for the first time since the fatality census was begun in 1992. There were 1,363 fatal work injuries from highway incidents in 2000. These data are a product of the BLS Safety and Health Statistics Program.
