Work Objectives:
- Assist with efforts to strengthen the capacities of the Vietnamese government and non-governmental health institutions for HIV surveillance, prevention, care and support and research programs.
- Provide operations and management support of the office as well as programmatic/technical support to CDC/Vietnam.
- Support the development and implementation of training programs for Vietnamese physicians, HIV/AIDS program managers, officials and other staff responsibility for HIV surveillance, epidemiology and prevention programs, (counselor training program, provincial training program, epidemiology, and prevention programs.
- Support 1-2 of the ongoing operation research projects on HIV prevention program-relevant issues.
- Provide technical assistance to the Vietnam Ministry of Health and Hospitals. rogram, CDC Public Health Advisor.
