Honduran flagIn an online petition spearheaded by Rosemary Joyce, chair of anthropology at UC Berkeley, scholars and academics across the country are urging the U.S. government to sanction the de facto regime in Honduras for "escalated violence directed at our counterparts in universities and research centers." Budget / Campus closure dates announced as part of furlough implementation

Budget CentralUC Berkeley officials have announced 11 campus closure dates, extending both the winter and spring breaks, as they work to implement the systemwide furlough and salary reduction plan approved by the UC Regents last month.
