Christopher L. Sabine
Discrete and Moored Carbon

Ph.D. 1992 Oceanography, University of Hawaii

Research Interests:
My research focuses on understanding the global carbon cycle. In particular, my work centers around interpreting inorganic carbon measurements in the oceans. This includes understanding the air-sea exchange of CO2 at the ocean surface, examining the basin-scale distribution of both natural and anthropogenic carbon in the ocean's interior, understanding multiple tracer relationships (e.g. anthropogenic CO2 and CFCs), evaluating ocean carbon cycle GCMs with data-based global carbon distributions, and examining carbonate and organic matter remineralization within the oceans.
