Tenure-track/tenured Faculty Position

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Temple University has an opening for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Environmental Chemistry/Chemical Processes.

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field, be able to develop a significant externally funded research program, and provide effective instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels in the department in their area of expertise.

Ability to conduct research in the areas of pollution prevention and emerging contaminants is of particular interest.

Applicants at ranks higher than Assistant Professor need to demonstrate a strong record in external funding.

Successful applicants are expected to have the ability to collaborate, in their related areas of research interests, with researchers within and outside the Department.

The Department has recently received significant funding to establish a Pennsylvania Environmental Technology Center .

The Center and the Department has over 3,600 sq. ft. of environmental laboratory space for research.

Significant state-of the art equipment and analytical instrumentation either exists or in the process of acquisition such as LC/MS/MS, HRGC/HRMS, and other.

The salary is highly competitive and significant resources have been allocated for start-up.

The Main Campus of Temple University is metropolitan, and the University has campuses throughout Philadelphia and the World.
