At WFOs, the Meteorologist In Charge (MIC) has overall responsibility for provision of hydrologic products and services from his/her office. However, important program management functions must be conducted by Service Hydrologists or Hydrology Focal Points on a regular basis in support of hydrologic forecast and warning operations at a WFO. This PDS covers these program management functions, which include coordination with hydrologic cooperators and other users, management of hydrologic systems and data networks, provision of hydrologic training, and operational support for hydrologic models and forecast procedures.
