Are You Ready for the DTV Transition?
President Obama signed the "DTV Delay Act" enacted by the House of Representatives on February 5, 2009, and by the Senate the previous week. The bill extends the date for the digital transition from February 17 to June 12, 2009. As part of the measure, the Converter Box Coupon Program is also extended to July 31, 2009, with additional appropriations included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Consumers with unredeemed expired coupons can now reapply for replacement coupons.
