NOAA ANNOUNCES FY 2003 PROPOSED BUDGET

The Commerce Department's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will announce its proposed budget for fiscal year 2003 on Monday, February 4, 2002. Top agency officials including Vice Admiral Conrad C. Lautenbacher, Jr. USN (Ret.), newly appointed under secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere - NOAA administrator, will be available for comment during this media availability by telephone.
