I am an enrolled member of the Omaha Tribe. I am a daughter, wife, mother and new grandmother. I am a member of the Buffalo clan and my Omaha name is Mi-texi' meaning sacred moon.

I am currently the Omaha Tribal Health Director and CEO of the Carl T.Curtis Health Education Center in Macy, Nebraska. I have worked in the Indian Health Service or in Tribal Health programs since 1981.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and I have a Masters in Public Health Administration from the University of Hawaii in Manoa. I have also completed an Injury Prevention Fellowship with the Indian Health Service.
