Ms. Thomspon-Dodd is the founder of WeSpeakLoudly, a women's health education and advocacy organization. An Associate Clinical Social Worker, Ms. Thompson-Dodd earned a Master of Science in Social Science and a Master of Arts in Afro-American Studies from Boston University. She received her undergraduate degree in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley.
Recent work includes Breast Caner Early Detection Program social work protocols at Alameda County Medical Center, a workshop "Overcoming the Obstacles of Breast Canter for a Satisfying Sex Life" for the Northern California Cancer Center and she is soon to conduct Peer Counselor Training on breast and cervical cancer early detection for women on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten/St. Martin.
Ms. Thomspon-Dodd is a member of the National Cancer Institute Consumer Advocates in Research and Related Activities (CARRA) program, and serves on the Cancer Committee of the Ethnic Health Institute at Alta Bates Hospital/Summit Campus. Ms. Thompson-Dodd is a member for the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and the National Association of Social Workers.
