Purpose

This Notice is to inform applicants that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) will participate in funding opportunity announcement RFA-OD-09-004, entitled “Recovery Act Limited Competition for NIH Grants: Research and Research Infrastructure”, and accept applications in the following areas:

  1. Medical countermeasures to restore gastrointestinal function after radiation exposure due to radiological or nuclear terrorist attacks (for background information, please see http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-AI-07-013.html)
  2. Radionuclide decorporation agents for radiation/nuclear emergencies (for background information, please see http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-AI-06-030.html)
