Introduction

Parents are the most important influence in the daily life of their children. But teaching children to say no to drugs is not intuitive, even for the best parents.

This section will help you learn more about drugs and children, useful whether you are a parent, teacher or student. Scope of Problem will give a general introduction to this issue. What Can Parents Do To Help Their Children will serve as a starting point on raising their child drug and alcohol-free. Why Children Use Drugs will describe the reasons as to why children decide to abuse drugs and alcohol. Specific Drugs and Their Effects will give information on what happens when drugs such as Marijuana or Heroin are used. What To Do If You Think Your Child Is Using will tell you the warning signs to look for in your child. What To Do If A Friend Is Using is a guide made especially for students to help their peers if they are using drugs.
