The National Center for Preservation Technology and Training (NCPTT) in partnership with Save Our Cemeteries, Inc. (SOC) will be holding a Limewash Workshop on June 13, 2009 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The workshop will include a review of the history of limewash, NCPTT’s Study on the Durability of Traditional and Modified Limewash, preparation and application of limewash. The workshop will include hands on demonstration on a tomb at one of the historic New Orleans Cemeteries. Registration fee is $25 and covers the cost of workshop, limewash booklet, and NCPTT’s “Preparation and Application of Limewash” video. Members of SOC can take advantage of a reduced registration fee of $15.
