How to Print the Yellow Sheet

To help the environment and reduce costs, starting in 2009, the NIH Yellow Sheet will no longer be printed and distributed across NIH.

Printing and distributing almost 1 million copies a year is costly. In the pre-electronic era, the NIH Yellow Sheet was critical in keeping the campus informed about local events. But paper has its limitations; printed copies are often out-of-date by the time they get to users, and the printed listing was often truncated due to size limits, making the hard-copy version incomplete. Finally, due to informal surveys showing that printed copies were frequently discarded, we were prompted to discontinue the paper version.

Fortunately, you have many options to receive the calendar electronically. From these options, you may print your own customized version of the calendar, if desired:

  1. Use an RSS feed to get latest updates:
Add this link to your favorite feed aggregator:
  2. Visit http://calendar.nih.gov/ and browse or search for events
  3. Subscribe. You have a number of subscription options: you can receive copies to your mailbox daily, the day ahead, weekly or monthly.
Note: A weekly subscription using HTML format is the closest substitute to the original printed hard-copy.

If you prefer a printed copy, at any time: simply select a view option (such as view by week) and click on the printable version button.

The system then generates a print optimized copy:
