Breeze Tunnel

ECBC's Breeze Tunnel is able to determine obscuration material transmission reduction and cloud characterization, evaluate full size smoke generators and determine the impact on hardware caused by obscuration materials. The facility also can determine particle size distributions of flake obscurants and dispersion characteristics of fiber clouds. The tunnel has been successfully used as a wind tunnel and a testing chamber for projects needing a large operational space and protection from the environment. It consists of an environmentally contained passageway, 196 feet long, 14 feet wide and 14 feet high.
