Domestic Security and Immigration Crimes Section

AUSAs in the Domestic Security and Immigration Crimes Section, handle crimes involving the security of the country’s borders, including in particular the smuggling of illegal aliens into the United States and the creation and dissemination of false identification and immigration documents. AUSAs in the section work closely with agents from ICE, the State Department, and the Social Security Administration to use a variety of techniques, including undercover investigations and wiretaps, to detect and apprehend the leaders of large-scale alien smuggling and false document rings.
