4 Million Businesses Nationwide Receive 2007 Economic Census

- The U.S. Census Bureau will hold an audio news conference to kick off the 2007 Economic Census. More than 4 million businesses will receive a 2007 Economic Census form in the mail this month.

- Background:
- The 2007 Economic Census forms will be mailed to more than 4 million businesses the week of Dec. 17, 2007. The Economic Census provides encyclopedic information about the U.S. economy, including information on 1,000 industries, as well as local-level data. It is important that businesses complete and return their forms by Feb. 12, 2008. Businesses that receive an economic census form are required by law to complete and return it.
