Strengthening the national statistical system project

26.01.2009 The press conference was take place at the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Tajikistan, in the course of which was presented the information on socio-economic situation of the Republic and to summed up activities of the Committee for 2008. Committee's staffs had give exhaustive answers on correspondent's questions.
10. 01.2009 Extensive collegium about work outputs of organ - state statistics for of 2008 with participation of the Main Computing Center of the State Committee on Statistics, local statistics agencies, representatives of the President's Department and Ministries of Republic of Tajikistan, was hold in the State Committee on Statistics. On the college were listened to all results of works of the State Committee on Statistics, of local statistics organs and had set main tasks for organs of state statistics for 2009.

11.11.2008 The Seminar on mid-term review of Project on the Strengthening of the national statistics system – TAJSTAT was conducted with 37 participants of wide range of government, international and donor organizations, Goskomstat and the Project Coordination Team - detailed press-release
24.10. 2008 Updated GDDS metadata were published on the site as the result of joint work of Goskomstat, the National Bank of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Finance.
01.07.2008 There was held National Conference on "Role of household surveys and statistics in the monitoring of poverty, policy elaboration, decision making and programme implementation" in terms of survey on women and children condition in the Republic of Tajikistan (MICS-2005) and survey on population living standards in Tajikistan (TSLC-2007). On this Conference were participate more than 100 representatives including representatives from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, ministries and departments, international organizations. 21-25.04.2008 There was conducting the Country Course in the State Committee on Statistics, it was the first course organized by United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (UNSIAP), joint with UN Statistical Division. Training Course on International Migration was one of special-purposed courses and was conducted by the request of statisticians of Tajikistan in the frame of UNSIAP's programme on expansion of training comprehension. In the seminar were participate participants from the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Dushanbe Statistical Committee, the Department of Government Service under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Education the Migratory Service of the Department of the Interior of the Republic of Tajikistan
02. 2008 In the February 2008 the Chairman of State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Tajikistan - Mr. Shabozov Mirgand Shabozovich - was elected to the perficient member (academician) of Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan.

18.01.2008 In 2007 Goskomstat has published 38 publications in all branches, according to catalogue of 2007 and this renewed catalogue of information transactions was published on our web in 2008
04.03.2005 Goskomstat with assistance of international consultant from World Bank have worked up Multi-annual Integrated StatisticalProgramme, that was approved by the Resolution of government № 90 from March 4, 2005.
17.11.2004 Tajikistan is the full participant of GDDS.
