Visitors disembark from one of Steamtown's seasonal excursion trains. Steamtown offers excursions to various destinations, using both steam and diesel-electric locomotives.

With a little advance planning, you can make the most of your trip to Steamtown. The seasonal train schedule is available at the Ticket and Information booth (which is also where the Park Entrance Fee and fees for long and short train excursions are paid). Also, check at the Visitor Center Desk to learn about other programs that may be offered that day.

While the Park is open all year, some tours and all of the train rides are seasonal. Due to staffing and equipment availability, we post our tour and program schedule monthly. Each month's schedule is posted here about a week before the month begins.  Note that all children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult while at the Park and aboard train rides and excursions.
