"Qualifying Urban Areas for Census 2000"
This Notice contains a list of the Census 2000 UAs and their populations, a list of new UAs based on Census 2000, a list of 1990 census UAs that were combined or split, a list of 1990 census UAs that have had significant changes, and a list of 1990 census UAs that have had name changes. (Please note: Some information in these lists has been corrected by the Federal Register Notices published on August 23, 2002 and November 20, 2002. See the bullets below.)

"Urban Area Criteria for Census 2000; Correction"
This Notice contains corrections to the March 15, 2002 Notice in which the Census Bureau announced its criteria for defining urban and rural territory based on the results of Census 2000. The Census Bureau is correcting the final criteria as they apply to Guam. Pursuant to an agreement between the Census Bureau and the government of Guam, all urban areas defined within Guam are designated as urban clusters regardless of their total population.

"Qualifying Urban Areas for Census 2000; Correction"
This Notice contains corrections to the May 1, 2002 Notice in which the Census Bureau announced the results of the Census 2000 urban/rural delineations. The most significant corrections are the designation of Hanford, CA as an urbanized area (this resulted from a combining of the Hanford, CA and Lemoore, CA urban clusters), the merging of the San Rafael--Novato, CA urbanized area with the San Francisco--Oakland, CA urbanized area, and the designation of the Hagatna, GU area as an urban cluster rather than as an urbanized area.

In addition to the significant changes listed above, the Census Bureau has made a limited number of small changes to the population and area information for selected urbanized areas and urban clusters. The Census Bureau has prepared a file that contains a list of Census 2000 tabulation blocks that are being added or removed from these selected urbanized areas and urban clusters in either [PDF] format or [TEXT] format.

"Qualifying Urban Areas for Census 2000; Correction"
This Notice contains corrections to the May 1, 2002 Notice in which the Census Bureau announced the results of the Census 2000 urban/rural delineations. The corrections concern the designation of Cumberland, MD-WV-PA as an urbanized area, being comprised by the previously recognized urban clusters of Cumberland, MD-WV-PA and Frostburg, MD, and that the Census Bureau no longer recognizes the Cumberland and Frostburg urban clusters. This correction was the result of a change in the criteria.

Lists of Urbanized Areas and Urban Clusters
The Census Bureau has prepared the following four files that list the Census 2000 UAs and UCs, their populations, population densities (square miles) and land area measurements (in square meters):
- Alphabetically-sorted list of UAs
- Alphabetically-sorted list of UCs
- State-sorted list of UAs that shows the portion of the UA's population within the specified state for UAs that extend into two or more states
- State-sorted list for UCs that shows the portion of the UC's population within the specified state for UCs that extend into two or more states.
The contents of the state-sorted UA and UC files are defined in the record layout. (Please note: Some information in these lists have been corrected by the Federal Register Notice published on August 23, 2002. See the August 23, 2002 Correction of Qualifying Urban Areas bullet in the items above. See the links to the corrected files below.)

List of Major Airports
The Census Bureau evaluated for inclusion in urban areas those commercial airports that, according to 2000 Federal Aviation Administration statistics, had an annual enplanement of at least 10,000 people and, thus, qualified as a primary airport.
