Chris Brown attended UC Berkeley where he picked up strong interests in herpetology as well as plant physiology, having taken courses from Harry Greene, David Wake and Terry Chapin who greatly influenced his choice to go into field biology. He has worked for Robert Fisher since July of 1995 aiding in herpetofauna, vegetation and riparian surveys. Adding to this, his interests include natural history of coastal and montane Southern California and Baja California, arachnid natural history and wildlife photography.
