Bringing Data to Life: Spotlight on Hawaii Emergency Disaster Planning and Recovery. The U.S. Census Bureau held a community forum with the Hawaii State Department of Health to explore how census data can be used in emergency planning, preparedness and recovery in the event of a natural disaster. This is the third in a series of discussions around the nation about emergency preparedness by the Census Bureau.

Bringing Data to Life: The U.S. Census Bureau today held the second in a series of discussions around the nation about emergency preparedness with officials at the City of Los Angeles Emergency Preparedness Department. More than 40 community and nonprofit organizations attended the forum to explore how to better use census data in emergency planning, preparedness and recovery. Pictured are Ellis M.
