Most law enforcement professionals are reluctant to boast, or even mention, some of the more hazardous or heroic actions they are called upon to take in the line of duty. Regardless of the level of danger during the event, the officer will tell you that they were "just doing their job." This is certainly true of Officer Stacy Lynn Lakotas. No one in the Hopkins Police Department was aware of the part that Officer Lakotas played in saving a motorcyclist's life, or, of the incredible project of comfort and solace Officer Lakotas had initiated-a project that would someday show a young boy how much his father meant to his community, and that his father's ultimate sacrifice is not forgotten. >> read more
