Mississippi in Focus: Census Bureau Pre-Primary Snapshot
Mississippi, which holds its presidential primaries March 11, had a 2007 population of 2.9 million. About 62 percent of Mississippi’s voting-age citizens cast a ballot in the 2004 general election, not statistically different from the national rate of 64 percent.
