            Commerce Secretary and Census Bureau Director 
                    Congratulate Census Employees

  Commerce Secretary William M. Daley and Census Bureau Director Kenneth 
Prewitt will address Census Bureau employees on Thursday, June 29, at 10a.m. EDT,
congratulating them on their hard work and announcing the end of the
Non-Response Follow-Up phase, the largest Census 2000 enumeration operation.
The event will be held in the Census Bureau auditorium.

  A photo opportunity and question-and-answer period with Director Prewitt will
follow for the news media.
