National Indian Programs Training Center (NIPTC)

The National Indian Programs Training Center provides education and training to Native Americans and to individuals who work in improving the quality of programs and services offered to Indian people. The center provides training and development opportunities that are consistent, current and critical to Department of the Interior employees, tribal representatives and federal agencies responsible for administering Indian programs. The training center's modern classrooms, state-of-the-art equipment and distance learning capabilities are designed to provide a learning environment that fosters personal and organizational development that lead to improved Indian programs and services.

Mission — Provide state-of-the-art training to individuals who are committed to fulfilling the government's responsibilities to Indian Country, either directly or through self-determination partnerships.

From the Director — The National Indian Programs Training Center is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The center celebrated it's grand opening in April 2006 and is currently accepting class registrations and room reservations. Please take a look at our class offerings to see if there may be a training session of interest to you, if so, please fill out and fax the class registration form to (505) 563-5419. To reserve one of our classrooms or computer labs, please fill out and fax the room reservation form.
