NCPTT is soliciting oral and poster presentations that focus on research and innovation in cemetery conservation and preservation for the NCPTT’s Nationwide Cemetery Preservation Summit to be held in Nashville, Tenn., October 19-21, 2009.

A fast, easy and low-cost approach for high school instructors, preservation trade practitioners and preservation organizations to introduce preservation trades in technical high schools.

NCPTT and the City of New London will deliver the sixth annual New England Cemetery Monument Conservation workshop on October 7-9, 2008, in New London, Conn.

NCPTT will hold its first Cemetery Landscape Preservation Workshop on Sept. 16-17, 2008, in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Sarah Jackson and Andy Ferrell visited the Magnolia unit of Cane River Creole National Historic Park to investigate possibly using the slave/tenant farmer cabins at Magnolia Plantation for a limewash training workshop and video production.

$695 per participant. Topics Will Include: Condition Assessments, Conservation Ethics, Protection, Cleaning, Stone Loss Repairs, Bases and Resetting, Adhesion & Reinforced Repair, Consolidation.

As a result of NCPTT’s limewash study, Sarah Jackson has been in demand to present her research as well as hands-on demonstrations using traditional limewash.

NCPTT hosted Prospection in Depth, a GPS, GIS, and Geophysical technologies workshop held June 18-23, 2007.

Sarah Jackson represented NCPTT at the Casey Farms workshop, a Preservation Trades Network regional workshop.
