Students from Vermillion, Parke and Fountain Counties Illustrations

The Indiana State Emergency Management Agency and the Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program worked together to teach students in Vermillion, Parke and Fountain counties what to do before and during a natural disaster. They learned what to do if an accident happened at the Newport Chemical Depot, which is in their area. They also learned what to do if they had to evacuate, how to gather items for an emergency supply kit and how to care for their pets during an emergency.

Here are some posters the students drew to illustrate what they learned.
