Volcano Update from Archive

The remnant volcanic ash plume from the eruption of Kasatochi last week has not dissipated and is forecast by National Weather Service to move over southeast Alaska. The ash-gas cloud will remain suspended at higher altitudes and no ash fall is expected to occur at ground levels.
