The U.S. Commercial Service Nigeria will host CTO 2009 from May 11- 14, 2008, at the MUSON Center in Lagos. The CTO exhibitions and seminars are market development tools of the U.S. Commercial Service in Nigeria. It is the largest exhibition of its kind in West Africa where local companies representing or working with U.S. manufacturers and suppliers showcase the very best of computing, telecommunications and outsourcing solutions available in Nigeria for the sub-region. CTO2009 will feature an all-day seminar on May 11, focusing on the service sector and infrastructure development in Nigeria and a three-day exhibition with specialized seminars, workshops, product/service launching and demonstrations. CTO all-day seminars help policy makers, industry leaders and professionals understand global trends and to appreciate local market dynamics. They provide a unique platform for local and international experts to interact on critical issues, especially those related to technology diffusion, market institutions, bilateral relations, and entrepreneurship. CTO 2009 will help define the path Nigeria may take to prepare its citizens for enhanced professional service delivery and to plug into the global outsourcing network. The exhibition and seminars are open to the public, but attendees younger than 18 years old are not permitted on the exhibit floor, except on May 15, 2009, when college and university students, have the privilege to attend.
