Interactive Major/Minor (HUC Level 4/5/6/7) Homepage

This web site provides an interactive environment to view drainage area and detailed Minor (HUC Level 5/6/7) characteristic information for Minnesota. This site was set up by U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Minnesota District, in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MNDOT), and the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA), University of Minnesota. This link provides additional information about the project and its objectives.

Clicking on the start application button will bring the user to an interactive web application that has the ability to display drainage area information for the 84 Majors represented in Minnesota. The user will be able to zoom in and out, pan, and query the Majors. The user will also be able to get to another interactive web page that shows connectivity of the Minors within the selected Major. Further instructions and information about the data is found on the interactive web pages.

The interactive web application requires a 4.0 browser or greater, using Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
